Press Release

DLC Leader Congratulates all 2019 Matriculants.

Democratic Liberal Congress (DLC) Leader Patrick Pillay took time out his busy schedule this week to visit schools, meet and greet jubilant matriculants during the hand over of their matric result statements at the schools.

The DLC, however is concerned that the National Minister of education have not showcased any Indian in the top 30 in the country. This is worrying and the DLC will be writing to the Minister of Education to disclose the methodology and/or criteria used to select the top 30 pupils. I do not believe that there are any justification to the Ministers current criteria that have shown a blatant exclusion of the Indian top performers.

We all are South Africans and we effectively contribute towards our countrys GDP, socially, economically and politically, said Patrick Pillay.

The DLC Leader congratulated and bestowed his Party’s best wishes to all 2019 matriculants, the educators, parents and school governing bodies. Our pupils have performed exceptionally well despite the many challenges they have faced during their 2019 curriculum year.

I am proud of the determination that was shown by all stakeholders for making matric 2019 a success. The world is your oyster, said Patrick Pillay.
